The Denver City Council is considering a ban on ALL flavored smoke-free nicotine products, making these options less accessible for adults who smoke and seeking to transition away from traditional cigarettes.

We asked Denver residents about what this flavor ban could mean for them…

“While this proposal to curb underage tobacco use is well intended, I believe it will be ineffective in its goal, and Denver vape shops such as mine will be anunnecessary casualty.”

– Kristin Hensel (Owner of Rusty’s Vape and Smoke Shop)

“I believe that vapes should be readily available to adults over 21, because it is our right and our freedom to do such a thing. I believe that we can come together and we can find a solution to the problems that we have without a ban.”

– Steven Goodrid (Employee of Hush Vapor)

“We’re already taking every precaution we can to make sure people under the age of 21 aren’t getting ahold of these products…
I don’t really see any logical reason behind banning flavors. It just seems a little odd to me. Not to mention right now the vapes and the flavors are getting everybody off cigarettes.”

– Shannon Reynolds (Denver Resident)
